Copa América: Balogun Scores and Murillo Shines in loss
The 2024 Copa América continues as all the national teams in Group C played on Sunday. Did you miss any of the action? Here's a recap.

United States 2-0 Bolivia

AS Monaco's Folarin Balogun and former LOSC Lille standout Timothy Weah were in the starting 11 for the United States. The Americans opened the contest with an impressive goal from AC Milan star Christian Pulisic in the third minute. Balogun would add a second goal in the 44th minute as Gregg Berhalter and his team took a 2-0 lead into halftime after registering seven total shots.

Balogun played 65 minutes, and Weah played 86 minutes, as the United States took all three points against Bolivia. The Stars and Stripes will turn the page to Matchday 2, when they'll face Panama on Thursday at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia.

Uruguay 3-1 Panama

There was Ligue 1 representation on both of these teams as Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Manuel Ugarte was in the starting 11 for Uruguay while Olympique de Marseille defender Michael Amir Murillo suited up for Panama. It would be La Celeste who opened the scoring courtesy of a goal from Club Deportivo Toluca's Maximiliano Araújo in the 16th minute.

Uruguay took a 1-0 lead into halftime, but Panama played a better second half and recorded seven total shots. Thomas Christiansen and his squad had their scoring chances to find the equalizing goal, but eventually, the South American side added the insurance goals.

Liverpool's Darwin Núñez scored in the 85th minute and Flamengo's Matías Viña added the third goal in the second-half stoppage time. Murillo would also score in the second-half stoppage time to make it 3-1 and improve Panama's goal differential, which will be important if they secure positive results in the next two matchdays.

Murillo and Panama will face the United States on Thursday at Mercedes-Benz Stadium while Uruguay encounters Bolivia on the same day but their match will be at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
